Our Approach To Pain Relief
We Understand Your Struggle
Living with chronic pain (aka pain that persists) can feel like your body is betraying you. The activities that once brought you joyβhiking, surfing, sport, swimming, lifting, or simply playing with your kidsβnow seem out of reach. Youβve tried everything: doctors, medications, hands-on treatments, even surgeryβ¦ yet lasting pain relief and effective pain management still feel impossible.
Youβre not alone! Roughly 1 in 5 people experience chronic pain in Australia.

The Reason Behind The Name
I believe the role of a Physiotherapist is similar to a coach rather than a healer. Your body has been created with amazing healing mechanisms that in most instances will heal completely if given the right environment. You are the healer! My role in your recovery is to use my expertise of the human body and pain to help you understand the problem and work with you to strategise a solution that will enable you to reach your goals. My goal is to inspire you to get back in the drivers seat of your own health. Book online if you would like to reclaim what pain has taken from you.

Common Questions
-
A physio uses the client interview, physical examination and imaging to make a diagnosis. The interview is the most important part of the diagnostic process, accounting for roughly 90% of the information used for a diagnosis.

Unfortunately the misconception about the role of hands on therapy (e.g. manipulation, massage etc) is widespread. Hands-on therapy has a role for short-term pain relief but rarely βfixesβ the problem. The reason people perceive hands on therapy as a magic fix is because they get hands-on therapy while the body is healing and account the healing to the hands on therapy rather than the body. The rooster crows and the sunrises? Therefore, the rooster makes the sun rise. I hear the same reasoning for hands-on therapy. Your body is the healer, not your therapist. Iβm happy to provide hands-on therapy for short-term relief if you find that valuable but with my hand on my heart I will be honest about its limitations.

I understand that technical issues can occur and in these circumstances we will troubleshoot the problem together as best as we can. Any time lost due to technical issues will be extended at the end of the appointment or deducted off the amount you pay out of pocket. E.g. 15 minutes lost from a 30 min follow-up consultation valued at $99. You will pay $49.50 for the session.

Yes! All service offerings accept the funding methods listed above. The only exception may be private health insurance subsidies for online consultations if your insurer is from the dinosaur age and havenβt yet come to the party for online consultations. This would be extremely rare but if you want certainty please contact your private health insurer.
